The inverted presence of a tree where the white tint areas impose the silence necessary for a poetic reading of the form. There is no perspective but a space in which the emptiness underlines the ramifications, echoing the interior silence, and creating a mirror image of the space and immobility in the beholder. The effacement of the background imparts respiration to the form, manifesting the presence of the tree “so that it keeps its promise”.
